The last leaf and other stories
The place was North America. The year was 1900. Jimmy Valentine was in prison. He was Prisoner Number 9762.( p.8)
I read " The last leaf and other stories" today. It's story about the man who is in the hospital. He was in sick and he thinks that tree which he could see from the sickroom had some leave and after they fall, he will die. Then, a man who is an artist try to paint the leaf in the storm., so he can live trough but the artist died. I was moved that he painted for him at the cost of health.
