Jack and the Westbourne Fair

Jack’s week started badly. “Where’s your homework?” asked Mr Fish on Monday morning. Everyone turned to look at Jack. Jack said confidently, “It’s on the table at home.” (p.11) I read “Jack and the Westbourne Fair” today. The Westbourne Fair is coming to town and it is Jack’s favorite moment of the year. However, when he gets into trouble at school and his parents say that he can’t go to the fair. Book review 2

Alice in wonderland Alice was sitting with her sister by the river. She had nothing to do. She was bored. Suddenly, a White Rabbit, wearing white gloves, ran past her. (p.5) I read Alice in wonderland today. I knew the title because the movie that is about this story was released. However, I did't watched the movie so it is the first tine to read this story. It's story of a young girl's journey in a strange and wonderous land. When Alice read a book with her sister, she noticed that a rabbit which is speaking words run to the hole. She runs to the rabbit but she can't catch it so she crys. Her drops make a pond and she drops in it. It is the start of her strange journey. At the end of the stort, she wakes up by her sister's words ''Alice, wake up!''. She only sleeps on her sister's knees so she tries to convey the story if journey. Lewis, C(2009). I started studing Korean with Duolingo last week. In this week, I can only practice letters, but I want to study hard every day.

Book review 1

The surprise It’s Saturday evening.Mr and Mrs Phillips and their children, Roger and Helen, are playing cards in the living room. Suddenly, the telephone rings in the hall. Mr Phillips gets up and answers it. When he comes back he is smiling. (p.9) I read 「The surprise」 today. It's story about a dinosaur in the human world. This dinosaur was brought by thier grandmother to Roger and Helen's house. This was an egg at first, but a few days after coming home, a dinosaur was born. She finds it diffocult to bring him up at home and displays it in her own museum so that he can move freely after the museum closes. One night he caught two thieves at the museum and he was praised by the country. After that, they spent time together. The contents of the story was normal, but illustrations were cute and I enjoyed reading. I like it very much because it is illustration that combines pictures and photos. Gerngross, G(2007).
