Jack and the Westbourne Fair
Jack’s week started badly. “Where’s your homework?” asked Mr Fish on Monday morning. Everyone turned to look at Jack. Jack said confidently, “It’s on the table at home.” (p.11)
I read “Jack and the Westbourne Fair” today. The Westbourne Fair is coming to town and it is Jack’s favorite moment of the year. However, when he gets into trouble at school and his parents say that he can’t go to the fair. Jack divide to go to the fair, anyway, and he learns that there are more important things in life than having fun.
