John McFarlene who is a lawyer is asked to write a clean copy of will by Oldacre who is a architect. However, contents of it was that he wanted to give his all fortune to McFarlane after he died. After that, McFarlen visited to Norwood to take proceding but when he met Oldacre, Oldacre's body waws found in near the house. McFAlane was came under suspicion. Then, Holmes found out the mystery, and only he knew the conclusive evidence.
